How to place your application for the vacant MPRG Leader position in our application portal

  1. Create a new account
    Select "Create new account" in the navigation bar on the left of the screen and enter a user name and an email address. You will then receive an email with a password link. Please confirm your registration by clicking on this link or copying the URL into your internet browser.
  2. Create a profile
    After clicking on the link in the email, please create a password immediately after you log in for the first time. After saving your password a menu will appear. 
  3. Fill out the application form
    Please fill out the fields on all tabs. All fields marked with an asterisk are required for submission. Make sure that you save the form in regular intervals because it is NOT saved automatically. You can change your entries at any time by clicking on "Edit" until the application is submitted. Please avoid using any autofill-function!
  4. Upload application package in on pdf file
    Please note that only one unencrypted PDF, of no more than 5 MB can be uploaded.
  5. Submitting the application
    In order to submit the application, you must actively click the "Submit" button below the application form. The application can only be submitted if all required fields are filled out. Once you have submitted your application it is no longer possible to make changes! Now you will be asked to add the names of two referees that should  place a letter of recommendation on your behalf.
    Please note that your application is only complete when the requested references are received in due time. You will be informed by email when a reference is received.
  6. View the current status of an application
    The current status of your application can be seen under "My Progress" in the menu (only visible for users who are logged in) at any time until the conclusion of the assessment.

Please note that you need to have a

Master’s degree or equivalent (only in exceptional cases a 4-years Bachelor's degree will be sufficient) in a relevant field

or

Medical Degree

before starting the Ph.D. program.

 

Ph.D. research

In your application, you can select up to three research groups you are interested in. For details about research areas and participating research groups, please visit the Faculty page on our website.

Timeline of important dates

The application window for positions available for the IMPRS-TP traditional Ph.D. and the Residency/Ph.D. training program in the field of psychiatry and neuroscience will be opened on August 01, 2021, for a start in 2022.

All applications have to be submitted through this application portal.

Application deadline: October 01, 2021 (12:00 - noon CET).
Deadline for references: November 05, 2021 (12:00 - noon CET).
Candidates will be notified in December 2021.
Interviews will be scheduled for February 2022.

Travel expenses and accommodation for the interview will be covered by IMPRS-TP, where applicable.
